Do spend time…

…playing nice

We ask everyone to be respectful of others. Everyone has a right to have an opinion. We’d ask you to be polite in expressing your own.

**…uploading your own content**

Save yourself a run in with the copyright police. Only upload your own original content. Then, when we tell you how amazing it is, you can take full credit!

…making sure your content is appropriate

Before you post a thing, ask yourself:
Is this video likely to cause unnecessary offence?
Or encourage someone to take legal action?
Am I just ranting rather than being helpful?
If this video was a film, would it be considered x-rated?

If the answer is yes, we advise you not to upload the video. We may terminate the account of anyone who uploads inappropriate content. Pronto.

…making your vlogs helpful

The bad times… the good times… give us your business tale in a vlog, warts and all. That way other people will learn from your experience.

…remembering us

You’re free to post your Virgin Media Pioneers content elsewhere. But if you do, you must link back to the Virgin Media Pioneers website. That way, you’re helping us to help you (and others like you.)

…protecting your personal information

Be cautious online. Whilst our moderators use their eagle-eyes to weed out those who are up to no good, they may not be able to monitor everything. A request for your bank details in exchange for six trillion pounds of business help should be treated with suspicion and reported to us.

…enjoying the adventure

As the name suggests, we in the Virgin Media Pioneers community are a pretty adventurous bunch and we’re sure you are too, so get involved! Discover the exciting worlds of other entrepreneurs, make friends, network, support others and take your ideas to the next level!

Don’t waste time…

…Uploading dodgy videos

Videos containing nudity, violence, explicit or illegal content will be removed. If we find such videos, your account will be terminated and if appropriate we’ll report you to the police.

…being nasty to other users

Ranting, harassing or spamming is not acceptable. Furthermore, as exciting as flame wars sound (flame wars = the aggressive to-ing and fro-ing between two or more quick-tempered members), in reality our fire-fighting moderators will respond with our version of an extinguisher, the termination of your account.

…abusing freedom of speech.

If we find you contributing to hate speech (attacking or demeaning groups or individuals based on race, ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, sexual orientation or gender identity), your account will be terminated and if appropriate we’ll report you to the police.

…being a pushy salesman

Putting pressure on people to use a certain service, method, tool or product isn’t acceptable on this site. If we come across this behaviour, you may receive a warning or have your account terminated.

…ignoring copyright

Much as we love talking about our favourite albums or childhood cartoons, if you don’t have the correct permissions to use such things in your videos, don’t. This not only applies to external material protected by copyright law but also to original content posted by other users.
