Latest goal:
"okay, an update after quite a long time! RateThatCurry is growing as an online community... This has made time for (drumroll) PassThePopcorn"
Personal Bio:
Abdul Khan, a digital marketer by day, curry king by night.
The domain ratethatcurry.com was purchased in November 2010 in the wake of a lonely business trip in Oxford. After months of struggle to gain finance, we started trading in April 2011, partnered with a freelance web designer we have websites constructed for curry houses at very competitive prices.
This is to help raise funds for the launch of an online directory of curry houses in the UK, somewhere you can write reviews on and search for the very best curry houses near you.. After we have at least 100 curry houses from the 20 largest cities in the UK we will evolve ratethatcurry.com to an online order and table reservation service, curry houses will pay us an annual subscription to activate this feature on the website and give us commission on all their online orders.
The main principle to our business is to promote quality food in a city near you.
As a means of future market penetration we have also purchased ratethetakeaway.co.uk.
Stage:
ratethatcurry and passthepopcorn
A service which designs and builds low budget websites for curry houses, then features their details on the online directory ratethatcurry.com, which is powered by independent customer reviews and ratings.
