I'm from Penzance Cornwall UK, South West, United Kingdom and I'm here to find support, get financial advice, get business planning advice, motivate others, find inspiration, expand my network
So far I have a great idea, written a business plan, gained funding, worked with a business agency, registered the company, started trading
Catch a Wave UK cic is the first Watersports and Complementary Therapies Social Enterprise in the UK, encouraging more people into the water and to use their natural environment, as a way of supporting them in improving their health and wellbeing on all levels … especially those who wouldn’t normally consider this an option, and those excluded from society, or who have had a challenged background.
Market Sectors include the NHS and other health related agencies, Schools, Groups and Individuals. We now have several Watersports Providers on board, an Outdoor Activity Centre, and a range of Complementary Therapies.
We won the Flybe/Western Morning News Cornwall Travel Bursary 2011, and have been awarded the ILCM quality mark; We have also been awarded an Awards For All National Lottery grant, Unltd grant, and The RSA nominated our MD, Anne Harrington as a Fellow in 2011; Anne has also been voted Pioneer of the Month via VMP, and been in the semi finals of the Innovation Challenge at VM! :D
