So far I have a great idea
I was formerly elected ‘Vice President’ for the largest African & Caribbean Society within the U.K by fellow students at Brunel University. Additionally, during my final year at University I presented information pertaining to issues surrounding higher education to the Innovation, Universities, Science and Skills Committee at the House of Commons. As part of his degree, I also obtained a year’s contract to work as a Business Analyst for Investment Banks Morgan Stanley – where I was 1 of 3 black students chosen from 1000’s of applicants across the UK.
In my final year at University, I birthed and helped coordinate an “Information and careers networking event” in partnership with the Brunel Business School & Brunel University. The reasoning behind the idea was to help alleviate the unemployment fears for many of his young people searching for work experience, internships, placements and graduate jobs.
I am currently an Enterprise UK Ambassador – a campaign that aims to give young people in the UK the confidence, skills and ambition to be enterprising – a founding member for the student led charity Elevation Networks Trust, a judge for the Black Young Achievement Awards and a voluntary mentor and motivational speaker/mentor in Secondary Schools.
