Yasteel Haripersad

I was born in Durban South Africa and completed my post graduate degree in Business specialising in Information Systems and Technology and Supply Chain Management. After obtaining my degree I moved to Johannesburg to work for a consulting company called Accenture as a management consultant.

My business idea involves development within the city of Durban I have identified a land opportunity in Durban that has been zoned for commercial development involving opportunities to develop a school, hospital, office park and hotel. I have tried networking my idea to as many people as possible and have even been endorsed for approval by the South African Medical and Dental association. This idea is a once off project based opportunity and apart from it increasing the standard of the living for the people in the Durban area it is also extremely profitable.

My goals in life are to increase general standards of living on the African continent as well as to create employment in a nation sticken with poverty and an HIV/AIDS epidemic.

I have just completed reading Richard Bransons novel – Business Stripped Bare and can relate to him with understanding the importance of good people and also alike Mr Branson, I owe alot of my experiences to the consulting industry as he did with his associates from Mckinsey & Co.
